Is a 6.5 Diesel engine in a two wheel drive half ton truck rare?

We have a 94 Chevy Diesel and it is a two wheel drive half ton diesel, we have been told it is rare but am not sure. Does anyone kno anything about this?
I kno that most diesel’s are 3/4 ton but this is a 1/2 ton and i want to kno if anyone kno’s if it is rare?

   normally diesels are 3/4 ton and not half tons

   It was the early 90’s when they started phasing out the whole 1/2 ton diesel idea. It worked out well and was real big in the 80’s (I have an 84 1/2 ton SUburban with the 6.2 diesel). Your truck is not that common, keep it in good shape.
