What are possible diesel engines that i can fit in my 2002 f150?

  1. it would be way more expensive to swap engines than the truck is worth! what about the tranny? diesel engines put out way more torque than a gas engine could produce which will affect your tranny. you’ll also have to get a new computer and remember, a diesel does not produce vacuum like a gas engine so you’ll have to get a vacuum pump as well to operate the brake booster and the hvac and anything else that requires vacuum. not to mention the fuel pump which is probably in the tank! you’d be better off selling your f-150 and putting the money down on a used f-250 with the 6.0 liter powerstroke
