I’m doing some research on diesel powered cars. As I’m considering getting one. Jeep or something.

  1. dont quote me on this but i believe some benz’s have them?

  2. ummm i know some of the old volkswagon jettas have em…hard to find though

  3. Jeeps aren’t made with diesels.

Ford, Chevy, and Dodge all make diesel trucks…

Volkswagen and Mercedes make diesel cars. I know with VW, they make Jettas and Beetles as diesels, as for Mercedes, I’m not as hellbent on owning one of those, so I’m not really sure what particular models of theirs come in diesel varieties.

  4. chevy,ford,dodge, pick ups
    v.w.’s

  5. Jeep Grand Cherokee has a 3 litre turbo diesel, the 2.7 l TD in the Liberty was discontinued, Mercedes has some models, VW, and of course the big 3 3/4 ton trucks all have a diesel option. That’s about it in North America.
Other parts of the world: every manufacturer has a diesel option in virtually every car model, in Europe diesels out sell gas about 54% to 46%.

  6. In addition to the other great answers, the current Mercedes vehicles with the diesel option are the GL320, ML320, E320, and R320. They’re using a V6 this time. (Should have stuck with an inline engine). Not available for sale in California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

Contrary to ‘runningwithscalpels’ answer, there is diesel availability in some Jeeps this year. Saw it on their website.

Thanks to the other previous answer; didn’t know the Jeep Liberty diesel had already been discontinued. What a shame.

  7. Most Car makers on the UK market offer diesel as an option.
