Diesel engines are bulky and very heavy, low revving, generally hard to start and turn over very hard because of the high compression ratio - all of these characteristics make it a poor choice for a motorcycle.
When the lady is right she’s right plus you would need about ten gears in one because they don’t have a wide rev range
Maybe they should try a small turbo deisel with and automatic vairiable transmission like that small Toyota has. In North America its called a Toyota Yaris before that it was called an Echo.. Speedometer is in the middle of the dash.
diesel engines are very heavy due to the high compression it requires to ignite diesel fuel. they dont use spark plugs and are controlled by the air intake. the wieght issue could make the bike difficult to control.
a diesel is used for high torque, heavy load applications, a motorcycle does not require either of these. gasoline (petrol) is just readily available, and quite commonplace.
